Stolen Boardwalk Moments

Today was one of those rare spring-like days in March in New York. Near 60 degrees and total sun. What could be better than walking the Long Beach boardwalk?  

It was surprising how many people had the same idea. There were teenagers in shorts, men exercising shirtless, and a few brave barefooted folks. I, of course, brought along my fleece and sweatshirt because I’m always cold, and wound up shedding my winter wardrobe.

The waves were extraordinarily wild - waves crashing earlier than usual with greater ferocity. Perhaps it was somehow connected to yesterday’s storm when we endured relentless rain and wind over the entirety of the day and night. Today’s magnificent sunshine was in sharp contrast to yesterday’s gloom. Perhaps that is why today felt all the more precious.
