Doesn’t everything in this new state of our union feel off? What used to be norms that were never challenged, are now up for grabs.

Wasn’t there a Seinfeld episode about everything being opposite? Yes, it was called the Opposite Episode where George learned success lies in doing the opposite of what he would normally do.

“Hello, hello, I don’t know why you say goodbye I say hello.” The Beatles “Hello, Goodbye” song plays in my head. More opposites.

Well, yesterday I was walking around some shops in Florida when I spied this:

Plants in their pots facing and growing downward, suspended from the ceiling! Quite a whimsical display. How do these plants get watered? How do they stay in the soil? Who came up with this? 

I’m thinking perhaps these would go nicely in the White House Rose Garden, a metaphor for the world to see.
