The Story of Today
I got up too late on this Sunday morning. It’s because I was up from like 4:30 – 7:00 AM before falling back asleep. It was one of those nights that seem to pop up every now and then (without a warning, or reason, I might add).
I took a 50-minute walk with my husband, and we chatted about many things, including how we can help babysit when two grandbabies will be born around the same time in September. Both daughters live in NYC, and we live about an hour away. Should we rent an apartment for a year in the city?
It was 47 degrees on our walk, ‘feels like’ 37 degrees, with a biting wind. And it was gray. But it still felt good to be out there.
We had lunch which for me was my usual fruit bowl. I put together Faje Greek yogurt (0% fat), granola (today it was Trader Joe’s Cherry Pistachio Pecan Granola) and then added bananas, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and cantaloupe. I have it almost every day because it is delicious and mostly healthy.

I enjoyed reading and commenting on blog posts, with no clear idea (or any idea) of what I would write on today. Do you write first, and then peruse others, or do you read first and then write? Today I just enjoyed reading other people’s writing.
My sister-in-law called and we talked for an hour, catching up on all the news we missed about each other’s lives. I told her that we’re expecting two more boy grandchildren, in addition to our Noah.
Then I looked over my lesson for English 101 tomorrow as we had a week off for spring break. I had finished grading all the personal narratives yesterday but needed today to refresh my memory of what we’re doing. I worked on Brightspace to update this Week 6 that we are approaching.
Now it’s time for the St John’s basketball game and barbecue chicken for dinner. And somehow today’s post got written.
Sounds like a busy but enjoyable day. Me, I usually read posts before I write.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like an adventure, renting an apartment for a year in the city. Congratulations on the two new grand babies! Mine are all at least four hours away, and I miss them terribly. I know your children will appreciate your being close.
